Fall is here! Here are some steps to take to get ready for the colder seasons:
- Have your Heat and Air unit checked and service? Adjust temperature on thermostat for cooler nights but possible still warm days.
- Have your gutters checked and cleaned to prevent water damage?
- Disconnect outside hoses.
- Check outside lighting. Since it gets dark early, replace any blown out bulbs!
- Remove leaves from sidewalks and steps. They can be extremely slippery when wet.
- Make sure you are wearing nonskid shoes in the rain or snow.
- Change Batteries in Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide Detector
- Replace Batteries in Flashlights/Lanterns in case of power outage (Safer to use than candles)
- Get out your warmer clothes.
- Contact your doctor about getting your flu shot
- Be diligent about washing hands, sanitizing, and staying away from sick people.
- Make sure you are eating healthy foods and or taking vitamins to boast your immune system
- Exercise – you might need to change up your routine to indoor activities.
We hope this helps you! Have an amazing Fall season!
